Lincoln is an independent drama/coming of age short film that follows a curious teenage boy who has an intense connection with men's adoration of women in noir films. These fantastical romances propel Lincoln into a sexual awakening when he comes face to face with his neighbour, Rosie. All Lincoln knows when it comes to women is film noir. Taking in these influences, the question remains, Has the portrayal of masculinity in these old films distorted his perception of sexuality in a modern setting?

Jake James Whitford is an independent filmmaker with a drive and passion for creating complex stories centred on unique characters. His world building revolves around making characters exist in their own world with shared feelings, attempting to humanise their flaws.
Based in Melbourne Australia, Jake has been channeling his inner creative child that yearned to tell and create stories and is bursting with ideas to bring to life.
Director Statement.
It was important for me to make this film as a little love letter to myself and others, for when they navigated their thoughts upon their discovery of beauty.
Beauty is something that's unique to everyone and it's something that should be explored. For me this film is a voice for those who are yet to experience, are experiencing or have experienced their first raw encounter with what they can only perceive as beauty.
