‘Poco Talks’ is an intimate experience for our Regional Victorian audience and an exciting opportunity to be in the room with a panel of Australian film industry leaders, presenting live on stage at the Terminus Theatre in the Goods Shed.

This event will hear some of the best Australian talent talk to our audience about their success both in Australia and beyond our shores. It will be inspirational for all young and emerging artists, to hear how to forge a career in the arts, and achieve international success, regardless of your postcode.

Mark Molloy
Feature Film Director
Ballarat born and bred Film Director Mark Molloy, now based in LA, recently directed the upcoming blockbuster movie 'Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley' (2024) for Netflix. A multi-award winning director, Molloy is also known for his short film series of 'Apple at Work - TheUnderdogs,' which has received over 150 million views to date.
Danny Philippou
Feature Film Director / Actor
South Australian born twin brothers Danny and Michael Philippou rose to success with their YouTube channel RackaRacka. Talented actors and directors, their recent feature film 'Talk To Me' (2023) won them Best Direction in Film, at the 2024 AACTA Awards. Danny joins us straight from production of their new feature ‘Street Fighter’.
Alexei Toliopoulos
writer / filmmaker / comedian / podcaster / film critic
Alexei is a writer, filmmaker, comedian, podcaster, film critic and technically, an internationally acclaimed investigative documentarian. Alexei created and stars in the investigative-comedy YouTube docuseries 'Finding Yeezus' (2022). The cult series is a follow-up to their ABC podcasts 'Finding Drago' and 'Finding Desperado'.
James Thompson
senior lecturer at SAE Creative Institute
James is a senior lecturer at SAE Creative Institute with 12 years experience teaching undergraduate courses in cinema studies, media studies and film production; RMIT, Monash University. He is a hands-on producer, director, writer, and editor with work exhibited in film festivals across the globe and publications in major international academic journals passing peer review.
