Director Statement.
Tuesday Tuesday is a deeply human story inspired by my experience working in the disability space. It explores professional boundaries and grief, celebrates love, and reflects on the complex realities faced by individuals and families living with dementia. Our diverse team of department heads have each been personally impacted by dementia, and we came together with a shared understanding and a commitment to crafting a film that feels honest and lived-in. I worked closely with a younger-onset dementia consultant to ensure a respectful and informed depiction. My directorial vision embraces restraint, leaning into a raw, observational style grounded in realism. This pared-back approach allows the performances to lead, giving space for immediacy and emotional truth. At its core, Tuesday Tuesday is a film about love, care, and the quiet moments that define our relationships. It encourages audiences to slow down, connect deeply with their loved ones, and find presence in fleeting moments.
